Sun 2 Dec 13:30 - Home Counties Girls League - U12 Development League B Full time

Girl's Under 12's- London Wayfarers v Woking Imps

Imps teamwork continues to pay off as they beat league leaders 10-3 away at Dulwich College

A true team effort by all girls who are starting to play with confidence and I suspect getting a taste for winning!
Ten good team goals scored by the following girls: Alice- 3; Sana-3; Miranda-2; Evie-2.
But like any good team this was underpinned by some great work by the whole team.
Special mentions:

  • Alex - solid defending and resilient pushing down the line
  • Matilda- A special thanks for Matilda for playing out of her normal midfield position for the team and being strong when needed
  • Gisella- slotted into the team well with her power and disruptive influence in midfield- dogged and committed
  • Evie- for being flexible in defence and midfield- strong and great striker of the ball and getting two goals
  • Miranda- superb down the left midfield/wing- up and down and solid in defence. Two goals
  • Alice- solid work rate down the right wing with some powerful hard crosses for team mates to get onto and the bonus of a hat-trick
  • Sana- excellent forward poaching up front with some well taken goals including from short corner set plays- a well deserved hat-trick
  • Tabitha- martialled her defence well and a couple of good saves

Our word for the day was 'Tenacity' and the IMPS displayed plenty of this!
Well done to the Imps....bring on Guildford next weekend!!
